All About Easter
Easter is also seen as a time of renewal and rebirth, both spiritually and physically. For Christians, it symbolizes the promise of redemption and is a time to contemplate one's faith and re-commit to Jesus' teachings. It is a time to get together with family and friends and celebrate the resurrection.

The holiday is usually celebrated over the course of three days. The first is usually Maundy Thursday, the second Good Friday and the third Easter Sunday. Maundy Thursday is known for solemn moments of reflection for Christians and a time for penitence and fasting. Good Friday, the day Jesus died, is marked by a solemn day of fasting and reflection. Easter Sunday is the day Jesus was resurrected and is celebrated with great joy.

On Easter, churches will often hold special services or ceremonies such as an Easter Vigil, or sunrise service. Local Easter egg hunts or parades are often held by churches or other organizations on Easter Sunday. In many places, it is customary to decorate Easter eggs and distribute them to children, who then search for eggs that are hidden around the house or yard.

Easter is also known for its traditional foods and dishes. Easter dinner often consists of a roasted lamb, which symbolizes Jesus’ resurrection, along with bread and wine, which signify his body and blood. Other signature dishes for Easter include colored eggs, Easter breads such as hot cross buns, and Easter pastries.

In addition to its spiritual and religious significance, Easter is a major holiday for many cultures across the world. It is a time to decorate, feast and celebrate the festivities of springtime. As such, Easter remains an important holiday celebrated by millions around the world.
